I'm back with my book club post. So this book club isn't really a thing, but I am making it a thing. Typically you only focus on one book per month, but I read several books per month and honestly just 1 is basic. SO, here are some of my favorite recent reads. Hope you enjoy and comment below, what I should read next.
City of girls: I love anything by Elizabeth Gilbert and when I heard she had a new novel, I grabbed it. I will admit it was a bit slow a first but I could not put this book down. It was a beautiful tale of a woman being her own hero and had a big feminist theme. Loved it!
One day in December: This is a great read for this time of year, set in London, it has a good story line and gets you in the holiday spirit.
Secrets for motivation: I will be the first to admit it is so easy to check out this time of year, mentally and physically. This is one of my go to’s for when I need that jolt of motivation, Zig has humor, wisdom and positive affirmations.
The bankers wife: This was a quick suspenseful read but I really enjoyed it.
Breaking the habit of being yourself: I was lucky enough to see Dr. Joe Dispenza speak at Attune by Living Wholly recently and he blew my mind. His teachings are truly life changing and I am about half way through this book and learning so much. This is a dense read, not meant for finishing in a week, its a slow read, I reread pages many times to let them sink in but it’s so eye-opening.
Along with actual books, which I love, nothing better than a real book and a cup of tea. However, I also use audible, ALOT and cannot say enough wonderful things about it. All of the above books can be purchased on audible as well.
